From an exercise where participants are asked to choose a postcard which represents for them – good or not so good - something they will take away with them from the course, and then to explain their choice to the group.
Tell us one thing you will take away with you from this course………………..
It feels as though I am entering into a creative web. People, contacts, energy!
I am a little atom – just a small part, but connected to a big body of activity and energy.
This has just opened my eyes to so many possibilities.
Meeting people and working with others.
It’s not always the most obvious person that makes the most wonderful music. We must all reach for the stars.
I can’t believe the course has gone so quickly! Four days! Giving me so many things! So much realisation! So many things have happened!
This has made my day, my week, my year……….etc! I came here hoping to meet some artists and learn how to set up community based arts and I have. But I’ve also gained so much more.
This course has been pivotal for me. I couldn’t see myself entering this world – writing and devising projects in the community. I didn’t believe in myself. But now I know I really am good enough.
Inspirational.
I want, I want, I want – this has been really inspirational for me. This is what I want to do.
I’m about to take the leap.
Spread the word across the board! It is imperative that we let everyone know the relevance and importance of the arts to enable people make good sense of their lives and the world around them.
Our group here has been full of energy and I’m taking that energy away with me.
We can be chained to our beliefs. Here we have all met people, someone who has opened our eyes.
Opportunities, possibilities for arts and creativity.
I am determined to follow it all through.
This course has had a huge array of exhilarating components – all put together to equip us for new futures. Don’t be scared of failure.
Breaking out – when is the time to break out of my 9-5? It could be now!
Some things felt familiar - a lot didn’t. You never know what is round the corner. I’m ready to have a go!
I needed help and advice and I got it. I feel I’m lifting off – launching into the sky like a rocket.
I like company but I’ve always been quite shy, working quietly on my own. Here, we have been working quite naturally and sharing information together – projecting ourselves onto one another.
This course has been conducted in a really nurturing atmosphere – especially important for us who have been used to working alone.
I want to bank this course and make frequent withdrawals! It’s priceless!
I was a bricklayer who began writing but I was seeing a barrier to my developing my writing w and working with other people who have had limited opportunities for creativity. Now I can see the value of what I have to offer. The time is now.
I’m writing my action plan now and it will start by training as an Arts Award advisor.
There were lots of creative things going on and people doing them. Now I have access to all that!
I’m thinking about all of you here on this course and how my organisation and I can work with you in the future. I will be contacting you.
My future – I am sincerely hoping and wishing that everything I have learnt and experienced on this course will come into my future.
